Are you insured and licensed?

Yes. Our trucks/trailers and labourers are fully licensed and insured in case of accidental damage or injury. We are also approved by environmental authorities to haul away household and commercial junk.

Do you provide moving services?

No. Our trailers are not properly equipped and we are not insured to move.

Do you offer rental bins?

Yes! If you’re feeling strong and want to DIY your junk removal, we offer 10-yard bin rentals. For reference, 10 cubic yards is roughly the same size as 10 washing machines. Please see our Pricing page for more information or to book a bin!

Do you recycle and donate?

Yes! We donate reusable furniture, electronics, clothing, and household items to local charities. Salvageable construction materials are donated to Habitat for Humanity. We also recycle paper, metals, concrete, and other materials, diverting up to 60% of junk from landfills.

Why do you charge?

Junk Rescue needs to cover the costs of transport, labour and disposal of your materials (disposal fees are based on the weight of the debris).

How do you charge?

In general, we charge by volume based on how much space your junk takes up in our trailer. Heavier materials such as concrete or plaster may incur surcharges to account for additional disposal fees.

How much notice do you require?

In most cases, we can be at your location within 24–48 hours. If you require junk removal on a specific day and time, please contact our office in advance to schedule. However, if availability allows, we may be able to book you in the same day.

Do I have to be at the property to have the job done?

Not always. As long as we can access the items and clearly understand what needs to be removed, we will call you once we arrive on site with an exact quote. If you choose to proceed, your credit card will be processed remotely upon completion. A copy of the quote, invoice, receipt, and a fridge magnet will be left in your mailbox or mailed to a secondary location.

How big are your trailers?

Our trailers hold up to 10 cubic yards or 270 cubic feet measuring 10 ft. (L) x 6 ft. (W) x 4.5 ft. (H).

What is a cubic yard/cubic foot?

A cubic yard measures 3 ft high × 3 ft wide × 3 ft deep, for a total of 27 cubic feet. A cubic foot is a space measuring 1 ft high × 1 ft wide × 1 ft deep. Using our rate card, a service representative will determine the volume of your junk in cubic yards or cubic feet and assess the type of materials being disposed of before providing a quote.

What equipment do you bring?

Aside from the two strong workers our trucks come equipped with disposal bins, dolly, garbage bags and various small tools to ensure that your junk is removed in a safe and clean manner.

What do you do to prevent damage to my property?

In cases where we are removing junk from inside your home or business, we’re extra careful to ensure that no damage occurs to your walls and floors. For your peace of mind and ours, we are fully insured in case of accidental damage or injury.

What do you do with the junk?

Over 60% of the materials we remove from homes and businesses are either donated to local charities or recycled. The remaining items are disposed of at a landfill or transfer station for further processing.

Where is your company located?

Our home base is in Innisfil, Ontario, but we serve most of Central Ontario. Please see our Service Locations page for more details.

Why use your service instead of a disposal bin?

We handle all the loading and cleanup, and our charges are based solely on the volume of junk we remove. When renting a bin, you typically pay for the full volume, regardless of how much space you actually use. In many cases, others may add junk to your bin, leaving you to cover the disposal costs. Our prices are often competitive with disposal bins, we recycle much more, and we provide all the labour!
